It's too preachy...We are on the same page here. It's too preachy and heavy-handed, the black lives matters agenda unfortunately overshadows the personalities of the main characters. Still, the jazz score is beautiful and I liked some of the performances. <br />I can't help wondering if another writer or director had told the story there would be ambiguity of whether Fonny was guilty/innocent.
