Oasis, The Verve, The Bee Gees, Davy Jones ... Not exclusively but I have heard them. Many thanks to Wikipedia.
I have listened to some Kate Bush, Delays and Cocteau Twins thanks to suggestions from another music fan. I admit to having almost zero musical knowledge but thanks to the kindess of strangers my ears have had plenty of wonderful things to listen to.
looks like a normal night out in Sheffield on a friday night!
ReplyDeleteGood song... odd video, indeed.
ReplyDeleteJohn: I bet you've *participated* in a few nights like this!
ReplyDeleteMeaghan: Is Roisin popular at all in the States? I'd recommend her last album OVERPOWERED, from whence this track comes.
I will check that out, thank you! Neat she lived in Manchester for a time. I don't think she is that well known in the US.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're listening to some Manchester bands these days! The Smiths? Oasis?

It's always exciting to discover new stuff! I still haven't heard any Cocteau Twins, though I'm always meaning to check them out.
ReplyDeleteOne more Manchester band recommendation: Elbow. Love their album THE SELDOM SEEN KID!
